WHEREAS, Senator Judy Warnick has devoted nearly two decades to exemplary service in the Washington State Legislature, first elected to the House of Representatives in 2007 and later to the Senate in 2015; and
WHEREAS, She quickly demonstrated her leadership and ability to guide and inspire her colleagues, serving first as Vice Chair of the Senate Republican Caucus beginning in 2017 and later assuming the role of Chair in 2021, while faithfully representing the constituents of the 13th Legislative District as a model of civic advocacy; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her legislative career, Senator Warnick has been widely recognized for her stewardship of agriculture and natural resource policy, assuming the chairmanship of the Senate Agriculture, Water & Rural Economic Development Committee upon entering the Senate in 2015 and championing the interests of farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and families who form the backbone of Washington's agricultural economy, bringing rural voices to Olympia; and
WHEREAS, Having grown up on a dairy farm and later operating a small farm and business of her own, Senator Warnick has brought invaluable firsthand experience to her work in the Legislature, grounding her decisions in practical knowledge and thoughtful insight that support agricultural sustainability, rural economic opportunity, water resource management, and small business growth; and
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has also provided leadership through service on key committees and boards, including Ways & Means, Human Services, Higher Education & Workforce Development, the Joint Long-Term Services & Supports Trust Commission, and numerous other task forces and advisory bodies, advancing legislation related to public safety, workforce training, economic development, and water security; and
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to strengthening communities through her active involvement in organizations, such as 4-H, the Grant County Fair, Backcountry Horsemen of Washington, and several other civic and professional associations; and
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick's long-standing passion for women empowerment has not faded since her prestigious recognition as a Woman of Achievement three decades ago, and she continues to drive social change today with her tireless advocacy for youth and women's sports, as well as her dedication to protecting safety, including efforts to promote fairness, safety, and opportunity in women's athletics, reflecting a commitment to expanding opportunities for future generations; and
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick's leadership and accomplishments have been recognized through numerous honors, including Legislator of the Year awards from the Association of Washington Business, Cattle Producers of Washington, and the Washington State Potato Commission, as well as Friend of the Farm Bureau, NFIB's Guardian of Small Business, Moses Lake Boys and Girls Club's Champion of Youth, the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce's President's Award, and other honors reflecting her enduring impact on the state's communities, economy, and public policy; and
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has earned the respect of colleagues across the aisle for her collaborative approach, principled leadership, and steadfast dedication to the people of Washington;
