AN ACT Relating to the use of preceptorships to train primary care physicians; amending RCW 70.390.080 ; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. The legislature finds that:

(1) There is a severe shortage of primary care providers in Washington, particularly in rural and underserved areas of the state;

(2) A focus on primary care results in a health care delivery system that is more productive and less expensive; and
