BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. The legislature recognizes that with the enactment of Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill No. 5801 during the 2025 legislative session, the legislature addressed the state transportation system's pressing near, mid, and long-term needs that necessitated reliance on reliable funding resources, as well as the efficient use of those resources. Because the production, maintenance, and utilization of transportation resources across the state continues to be an inherently complex, multifaceted issue, the legislature intends with this act to continue to address these resource needs by addressing certain topics from Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill No. 5801, and associated matters, that require additional legislative work.
