AN ACT Relating to providing equal protections for children and pets; amending RCW 16.52.085 , 26.44.050 , 13.34.060 , 13.34.110 , and 13.34.130 ; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. This act may be referred to as the Washington state children and pets safety parity act.

Sec. 2. RCW 16.52.085 and 2025 c 220 s 2 are each amended to read as follows:
