AN ACT Relating to renters' and mobile home occupants' ability to install portable cooling devices; amending RCW 59.20.070 ; and adding a new section to chapter 59.18 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 59.18 RCW to read as follows:

(1) Except as provided under subsections (3) through (5) of this section, a landlord may not prohibit or restrict a tenant from installing a portable cooling device of the tenant's choosing.
