AN ACT Relating to establishing a tourism self-supported assessment program to fund statewide tourism promotion; amending RCW 43.384.010 , 43.384.020 , and 43.384.030 ; amending 2025 c 189 s 3 (uncodified); reenacting and amending RCW 42.56.270 ; adding a new chapter to Title 43 RCW; and providing an expiration date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. INTENT. (1) The legislature finds that the history, economy, culture, and future of Washington state are inextricably linked to a vibrant and healthy visitor economy. In order to develop, manage, and promote statewide tourism as part of an existing comprehensive effort to market Washington as a premier travel destination, the legislature declares:

(a) That it is vital to the continued economic well-being and general welfare of the citizens of this state that the tourism industry be supported by:
