SUBSTITUTE SENATE BILL 6026

READ FIRST TIME 01/29/26.

AN ACT Relating to residential development in commercial and mixed-use zones; adding a new section to chapter 36.70A RCW; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. The legislature finds that Washington continues to experience a shortage of homes affordable to its residents at all income levels. The legislature further finds that zoning reforms can support an environment that expands opportunities for housing development.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 36.70A RCW to read as follows:
