AN ACT Relating to promoting the better understanding of certain federal standards related to commercial driver's licenses; and adding a new section to chapter 46.25 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 46.25 RCW to read as follows:

(1) The department shall initiate the rule-making process to update WAC 308-100-020 to clarify how federal motor carrier safety administration standards related to a person's country of domicile and immigration status impact the ability to receive or renew a commercial driver's license.
