WHEREAS, Dr. Paul R. Yost has distinguished himself as a leader in the field of industrial–organizational psychology, serving with distinction as an Associate Professor and Director of Industrial–Organizational Psychology Applied Learning and Development at Seattle Pacific University; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost earned a Bachelor of Arts from Seattle Pacific University in 1987, a Master of Arts from the University of Maryland in 1992, and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 1996, bringing great academic rigor and experience to his professional career; and
WHEREAS, Since 1999, Dr. Yost has served Seattle Pacific University with honor, advancing scholarship, mentoring students, and shaping the next generation of leaders; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost's research and professional focus encompasses strategic talent management, leadership development, change management, work–faith integration, and organizational strategy, contributing significantly to both academic and professional practice; and
WHEREAS, Prior to his academic career, Dr. Yost made meaningful contributions to the private sector, including serving as a senior research specialist in the technology industry, where he led initiatives in talent management and executive assessment, and conducting leadership development and research in the aerospace industry; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost is a published author and co-author of scholarly works in his field, which have informed leaders and organizations across varied sectors; and
WHEREAS, Beyond his academic and professional achievements, Dr. Yost has generously contributed his expertise as a project consultant for Pivot Northwest Research, supporting research and innovation that strengthens communities and organizations through applied leadership insights; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost's sustained commitment to excellence in education, research, community engagement, and leadership development reflects great credit upon himself, Seattle Pacific University, and the broader community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor Dr. Paul R. Yost for his extraordinary contributions to the field of industrial–organizational psychology, his profound impact on students and leaders, and his dedicated service to education and organizational excellence; and
