WHEREAS, The Ridgeline High School Falcons Volleyball Team in Liberty Lake, with their first trip to the state tournament in 2024, demonstrated remarkable perseverance, teamwork, and determination, culminating in their victory at the Class 3A State Volleyball Championship in Yakima, Washington; and
WHEREAS, The Falcons went undefeated in the Greater Spokane League and claimed the district championship, securing a spot in the state tournament; and
WHEREAS, The Falcons triumphed through a series of intense, five-set matches, including a hard-fought final against North Thurston, claiming the state title with a 18-25, 25-13, 21-25, 25-13, 15-6 victory; and
WHEREAS, Key contributions came from Ridgeline's players, including Brooklyn Hillman, Ryan Libey, Reagan Rothley, Jade Livingston, Olivia Phipps, Araleigh Arnold, Rahni Greene, Lizzy O'Connell, Kate Mulligan, Jane Holley, Bailey Hillman, Kyla Ross, and Brynlee Allred who displayed exceptional skills and teamwork throughout the tournament; and
WHEREAS, The victory was not only a testament to the individual talent of the players but also to the leadership and coaching of the Ridgeline Coaching Staff, whose vision, dedication, and commitment to the development of the program helped guide the team to this extraordinary achievement; and
WHEREAS, Ridgeline High School's volleyball program, founded only a few years ago in 2021, has grown into a powerhouse, demonstrating what can be achieved with hard work, putting your teammates first, and perseverance; and
WHEREAS, The Falcons' Class 3A State Title serves as an inspiration to all student-athletes, coaches, and communities throughout Washington State, exemplifying the values of sportsmanship, determination, and the pursuit of excellence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State House of Representatives congratulate the Ridgeline High School Falcons Volleyball Team, their coaches, and their families on winning the 2024 Class 3A State Volleyball Championship; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to Ridgeline High School Volleyball Team, principal Jesse Hardt, and coach Whitney Abell.
