 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2025-4623

HR 4623

WHEREAS, It has been the tradition of the Washington State House of Representatives to recognize excellence in every field of endeavor; and

WHEREAS, The Columbia River High School Girls Tennis Team displayed tremendous persistence, endurance, and athletic ability, which resulted in a state team title; and

WHEREAS, Emma Lungwitz won the 2A singles district title match to advance to the finals and finished the season earning the 2A Greater St. Helens League singles player of the year award in girls tennis; and

WHEREAS, Jenny Serebriakova won her match in the singles quarter final to place fourth overall and was selected first team 2A Greater St. Helens League singles in girls tennis; and

WHEREAS, Doubles teammates Annie Morgan and Sydney Dreves placed second in the state final and were recognized by the 2A Greater St. Helens League as doubles team of the year; and

WHEREAS, Doubles teammates Shaylin Murphy and Annabelle Madrigal ended their seasons by making first team 2A Greater St. Helens League doubles in girls tennis; and

WHEREAS, The efforts and rankings of each player on the team in the state tournament ultimately culminated in a state team championship; and

WHEREAS, For his achievement in the championship and in his dedication to bettering the abilities of the athletes in his program, Coach Kevin Erickson was awarded coach of the year by the 2A Greater St. Helens League;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State House of Representatives congratulate the Columbia River Rapids Girls Tennis Team on their excellent performance at the state tennis championship, and congratulate Coach Kevin Erickson, the team's fans, and the community of Vancouver for this accomplishment; and
