AN ACT Relating to mortgagee clauses; adding a new section to chapter 48.30 RCW; adding a new chapter to Title 61 RCW; and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 48.30 RCW to read as follows:

This section applies to property insurance claims on residential properties in which the insurance contract includes a mortgagee clause with a loss payee and for which the property is not a total loss and considered repairable.
