AN ACT Relating to allowing the use of multiple award task order contracting by the department of transportation and regional transit authorities; adding a new section to chapter 47.20 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 39.10 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 47.20 RCW to read as follows:

(1) This section provides an alternative process for awarding contracts for construction, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, or improvement of department structures, highways, and facilities. These provisions may be used, in conjunction with existing procedures to award contracts for such work, when the project involves construction, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, or improvement of a structure, highway, or facility.
