AN ACT Relating to fair access to community solar; amending RCW 80.28.370 , 80.28.375 , and 82.16.182 ; adding new sections to chapter 80.28 RCW; and creating a new section.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. The legislature finds and declares that community solar:

(1) Provides investor owned utilities, ratepayers, and communities the opportunity to realize the benefits of distributed energy generation;
