AN ACT Relating to home equity sharing agreements; adding a new chapter to Title 31 RCW; and prescribing penalties.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. DEFINITIONS. The definitions in this section apply throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise.

(1) "Agreed home value" means the value of the property at the time of origination, as agreed to by both the homeowner and the home equity sharing agreement originator and does not include any discount or risk adjustment.
