AN ACT Relating to expanding the scope of programs for postsecondary students experiencing homelessness and former foster youth; and amending RCW 28B.77.850 .

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

Sec. 1. RCW 28B.77.850 and 2025 c 92 s 1 are each amended to read as follows:

(1) Subject to the availability of amounts appropriated for this specific purpose, each public four-year institution of higher education , their respective university campuses pursuant to chapter 28B.45 RCW, and a public tribal college located in Washington and accredited by the northwest commission on colleges and universities or another accrediting association recognized by the United States department of education may implement a program to provide assistance to students experiencing homelessness and to students who were in the foster care system when they graduated high school. The program must provide certain accommodations to these students that may include, but are not limited to, the following:
