AN ACT Relating to assessing and improving the public school system through survey information provided voluntarily by parents and guardians; amending RCW 28A.600.510 and 28A.225.220 ; and adding a new section to chapter 28A.310 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 28A.310 RCW to read as follows:

(1)(a) The educational service districts shall jointly develop, periodically refine, and promote a voluntary online survey to determine how satisfied the families of current and former students are with the public education system. The survey must also gather feedback on families' overall experience, suggestions for improvement, and reasons for student enrollment and disenrollment in their local public schools.
