AN ACT Relating to preventing workplace violence in health care settings; amending RCW 49.19.020 ; adding a new section to chapter 49.19 RCW; and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

Sec. 1. RCW 49.19.020 and 2019 c 430 s 2 are each amended to read as follows:

(1) (( Every three years, each )) (a) Each health care setting shall develop and implement a workplace violence prevention plan (( to prevent and protect )) for the purposes of preventing violence and protecting employees from violence (( at )) in the setting.
