AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE

A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Chapter 3 of Title 40.1 an article numbered 2.1:1, consisting of sections numbered 40.1-33.6:1 through 40.1-33.6:7 , relating to employment; paid sick leave; civil penalties; civil actions.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 3 of Title 40.1 an article numbered 2.1:1, consisting of sections numbered 40.1-33.6:1 through 40.1-33.6:7 , as follows:
