WHEREAS, the Manchester Middle School cheer squad of Chesterfield County earned second place in the intermediate division of the Chesterfield County Public Schools cheer competition; and

WHEREAS, the Manchester Middle School cheer squad was runner-up out of seven teams, placing in the county middle school cheer competition for the first time since 2003; and

WHEREAS, the remarkable finish for the Manchester Middle School cheer squad was the reflection of three seasons of hard work, in which the coaches and their athletes have transformed a developing program into one defined by perseverance, sisterhood, and pride in their school community; and
