Commending Mary Froelich.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, April 23, 2026

WHEREAS, Mary Froelich, an esteemed teacher with Virginia Beach City Public Schools, was named as Kempsville Meadows Elementary School's 2026 Teacher of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Mary Froelich works tirelessly to create a supportive learning environment that enables her students to thrive; and

WHEREAS, one of Mary Froelich's greatest strengths as an educator is her ability to forge relationships and bonds with her colleagues and students, while also helping her students better connect with one another; and

WHEREAS, demonstrating her steadfast dedication to her students' well-being, Mary Froelich devotes time to recognizing and addressing the issues impacting her students, building their trust and improving their educational outcomes; and

WHEREAS, known for her compassion and desire to help others, Mary Froelich has embodied the ideals of the education profession, helping to make Virginia Beach a more wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Mary Froelich hereby be commended for being named the 2026 Kempsville Meadows Elementary School Teacher of the Year; and, be it
