AN ACT relating to child welfare.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 605 IS CREATED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

(1) (a) For all children in the care and custody of the cabinet, the cabinet shall determine within sixty (60)

days after entry into care whether each child is receiving or eligible for earned federal benefits

administered by the United States Social Security Administration or the United States Department of

Veterans Affairs, including survivor or dependent benefits.
