AN ACT relating to domestic relations.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 508 IS CREATED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
(1) The entering of a judgment of conviction for assault in the first degree or assault in the second degree, or
for a felony criminal attempt, conspiracy, facilitation, or solicitation to commit assault in the first degree or
assault in the second degree, shall operate as an application for an order of protection issued under KRS
Chapter 403 or an interpersonal protective order issued under KRS Chapter 456, as applicable, if the
