Provides that the practice of optometry shall include the use of injectable agents and surgical procedures for certain purposes

SB 884 - Currently, the practice of optometry does not include the provision of surgical procedures, including the use of lasers, and does not include the use of injectable agents. Under this act, the practice of optometry shall include the use of injectable agents for the purpose of treatment of the eye and adnexa and shall include surgical procedures, except as otherwise specified and limited by the Board of Optometry.

This act is identical to SB 219 (2025) and HB 929 (2025) and is similar to a provision in HB 2897 (2026), SB 956 (2024), and HB 1963 (2024). KATIE O'BRIEN
